Historical data tables for Polygon Proof of Stake (PoS) network staking activities
Polygon Staking Data
This section provides access to comprehensive historical data about the Polygon Proof of Stake (PoS) network’s staking ecosystem. Use these tables to analyze validator performance, delegator behavior, staking trends, and rewards distribution across the Polygon network.

Overview of Polygon Staking
Polygon’s Proof of Stake (PoS) network relies on validators who stake MATIC (now renamed POL) tokens to secure the network, validate transactions, and produce blocks. The staking mechanism includes:
- Validators: Node operators who stake a minimum required amount of MATIC/POL to validate transactions and produce blocks
- Delegators: Token holders who stake their MATIC/POL with validators to earn a portion of rewards without running validator infrastructure
- Stake: The amount of MATIC/POL tokens locked as collateral for network participation
- Rewards: MATIC/POL tokens earned by validators and delegators for their participation in network consensus
- Commission: Fee taken by validators from delegator rewards, set by each validator (in basis points, where 100 = 1%)
