Bitcoin Cash UTXO

Bitcoin Cash UTXO, short for Unspent Transaction Output, represents a specific amount of BCH that has been sent to a recipient and not yet spent.

When a new transaction occurs, it references and consumes specific UTXOs as inputs and creates new UTXOs as outputs.

Bitcoin Cash Features

The satoshi is the smallest denomination of BCH, with 100 million satoshis in each BCH.

Bitcoin Cash is a fork of Bitcoin that was created to offer faster, cheaper, and more scalable transactions. It uses the same UTXO model as Bitcoin but with some key differences:

  • Larger block size (32 MB vs Bitcoin’s 1 MB, allowing more transactions per block)
  • Lower transaction fees compared to Bitcoin
  • Focus on peer-to-peer electronic cash usage
  • Maintains fast confirmation times and reliable transaction processing
  • Supports features like CashAddr address format and Schnorr signatures
