Getting started

Request access

Sign up on the self-serve portal with the public egress IPs of the machines that will run your node. We allowlist them and email you your sentry peer IP.

Provision a machine

Meet the Hyperliquid node machine specs, and run in or near Tokyo to minimize round trips.

Point your node at the sentry peer

Write the sentry peer IP Allium gave you into override_gossip_config.json in your node’s home directory:

Setting try_new_peers to false keeps your node pinned to the Allium sentries rather than drifting onto public peers. Make sure TCP ports 4000-4010 are open on your side.

It gives your Hyperliquid node a reserved connection to Allium’s non-validating node in Tokyo, which peers directly with the Hyperliquid Foundation node. You run your node; we run the upstream. Unlike public seed peers, your slot isn’t rate-limited or rotated out.
Sign up at hyperliquid.allium.so/peering with your node’s egress IP(s) and pay by card. We allowlist your IP and email your setup details, including the sentry IP, from [email protected]. Most customers are connected within one business day, often much sooner. The setup steps above cover configuring your node.
No. Sentry Peer is a separate product and doesn’t create a login for app.allium.so. Your peering works without one. If you’d also like access to Allium’s Explorer, APIs and datasets, request it at app.allium.so using the option in the bottom left.
$200 per month for each IP you connect. Two IPs cost $400 per month. You don’t need any other Allium plan. Checkout accepts cards; contact us if you need another payment method.
Your subscription renews automatically each month on the card you used at checkout. To cancel or manage your subscription, go to hyperliquid.allium.so/peering and choose Manage your subscription. Your access continues until the end of the period you’ve paid for, and you won’t be charged again. We don’t offer refunds or proration for partial months. If anything doesn’t work, email [email protected].
Email your new IP to [email protected] and we’ll swap it on the allowlist. The same applies if you submitted the wrong IP at signup. If you move between machines often, use a floating or static IP you can carry over, so the allowlisted address stays the same.
Sentry Peer doesn’t include a contractual SLA. We actively monitor the node and its upstream and downstream connections.
Most connection problems come from one of these:
  • The IP doesn’t match. We can only allow the egress IP you submitted. Check that it’s the address your node actually connects from.
  • Ports are closed. Open TCP ports 4000-4010 on your side.
  • The config doesn’t point to us. Your override_gossip_config.json should use the sentry IP from your setup email, as in step 3 above.
Still stuck? Email [email protected] with your egress IP, hosting provider and region, the times of the problem in UTC, and your node’s gossip connection logs.
Yes. The sentry is in Tokyo, so nodes in Europe or North America see higher latency. Nodes far from Tokyo can occasionally hit Hyperliquid’s 60-second limit on the initial state download. If that happens, contact us and we’ll help you work through it.
Yes. The sentry is fully synced and can serve current state to a node that’s starting up. It has split_client_blocks enabled. It doesn’t provide historical block replay, because the Hyperliquid node doesn’t serve historical blocks.
