Every query can hold visuals built from its results: charts, tables, single values, pies, treemaps, Sankeys, maps and more. A visual updates with each run of its query.

Add a chart

Run the query, then choose Add visual and a type. Area and bar charts come plain, stacked or at 100%, and bars can run horizontally.

A new chart starts from the result’s columns: the date as its dimension, a numeric column as its measure, and a text column as its group by. Change any of them, along with the time bucket, aggregation, stacking and axis formats.

To put a chart on a dashboard, choose Add to Dashboard. See Build a dashboard.

Share with people

Share grants people access to a query and its visuals, and sets what everyone in your organization can do with it.
Share dialog with the owner, organization access and general access set to private
Set General access to Public to create a public link to the query. Anyone with the link can open it without an account, and setting it back to Private revokes the link. To share one visual, use its Create Public Link. The link is created as soon as the dialog opens. Copy the link, or the embed URL for an iframe, choose whether the page shows the SQL, or revoke the link.

A public link exposes the results, and the SQL unless you turn it off, to anyone who has the link.
